Tehran, Aug 19. MOBNA – A telecommunication link will be established between Iran and Pakistan in near future, Telecommunication Infrastructure Company deputy said.
”Pakistan is the only country with which Iran does not have international link,” Ahmad Pourangnia told Mobna news agency.
”Some measures have been taken regarding the issue and various connection ways will be established between the two countries in near future,” he added.
Telecommunication Company of Iran officials had said that Pakistan was not interested in an optical fiber link with Iran. The reason is that Pakistan telecommunication network is privately owned and a private company prefers to be connected with Iran via international networks since Pakistan optical fiber network is not near the Iranian border.
