Government to take 3% of 1st and 2nd operators’ earnings after TCI privatization

Tehran, July 8. MOBNA – First and second operators are to pay three percent of their earnings to Government after Telecommunication Company of Iran privatization, Parliament’s mines and industries committee spokesman announced.

“The money will go to rural telecommunication which is not economically viable,” Ali-Asghar YousefNejad told Mobna news agency.
“Inter-provincial communication management will also remain with Government after TCI privatization,” he added. 
“After sale of TCI shares, new value-added services will be added to TCI services,” he continued. 
TCI is country’s most profit-making company after the Iranian Oil Company and so far 30 percent of its shares have been sold off on Bourse.
