Tehran, Jun 27. MOBNA – With the move towards NGN (Next Generation Network), it will be possible to issue services such as video conferencing, videophone and audio/video/data transmission via landline phone, Tehran Province Telecommunication’ managing director announced.
“A limited number of switches have been installed in our network which will move it towards IP (Internet Protocol) and NGN,” Mohammad Ruhollahi told Mobna news agency.
However, he said the service would not be available for some time yet and would be incorporated gradually into landline network.
He added that private companies could also join in as long as they received license from Radio Communication and Regulations Organization.
