Tehran, Jun 15. MOBNA – When negotiations have been finalized, a national data center will be set up in 45 days, head of Iran Telecommunication Research Center.
“A tender for the project has already been held as RFC. At this phase, primary studies of national IDC project were implemented in Iran Telecommunication Research Center and some agreements have been reached with companies willing to participate in the project,” Abbas Zarifkar told Mobna news agency.
“Some 10 domestic companies have participated in the RFQ phase and submitted their documents. Revision of the documents will be completed in the coming week and we shall enter the negotiation phase for its implementation,” he added.
Data center (IDC) is a collection of service providers, communication infrastructures and access equipments used to provide, maintain and support internet service hosting.
By implementing the project, Iranian websites will, in future, be hosted inside Iran.
