Tehran, May 30. MOBNA – The legal affairs committee chairman of country’s association of telecom service bureaus said such bureaus could engage in advertisements relating to the Presidential Election and the distribution of leaflets.
“According to articles 68 through 70 of the Presidential Election Act, any advertisement regarding the Election by telecom service bureaus is legal,” Zahir Tayyeb told Iran’s mobile news agency (Mobna).
He said such bureaus were non-governmental and as such, like other unions, could take part in promotional activities regarding Presidential Election.
He emphasized, however, that removal of a candidate’s election poster without his permission was illegal.
