40,000-number prepaid landline phone center inaugurated in Fars Province

Tehran, May 23. MOBNA – A 40,000-number center for prepaid landline phones has been inaugurated in Fars Province, the province’s telecom company managing director announced.

“There is only one such a center in the province and 30 percent of its 40,000 numbers have already been allotted and are being used in some areas in the province,” Changhiz Amiri told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
Prepaid landline phone is similar to prepaid mobile phone in that the user pays for the call in advance.
He also announced installation of such centers in some rural areas of the country.
The cost of installing a prepaid landline phone is around 100,000 rials.
